January  LaDonn Robbins in Anchorage to work with Alaska Department of Fish and Game on the George River and Tatlawiksuk River weir reports.
12/9/2011  The Partners Fisheries Coordinator, Scott Fritz, finishes the in-school education program and his time at KNA.
11/15/2011 - 11/19/2011 Alaska Chapter of the American Fisheries Society meeting is being held in Girdwood. KNA Fisheries is presenting on it's fisheries and education programs.
10/15/2011 Hiring for Post Season Subsistence Surveys technicians is closed.

9/26/2011  Scott Fritz begins the KNA Fisheries Department in-school program, Fisheries Science in the Schools. Scott will travel to schools in the Kuspuk School District, from Lower Kalskag to Stony River.
9/20/2011  George and Tatlawiksuk River weirs are pulled out for the end of 2011 field season.  
6/22/2011  Scott Fritz (Partners Fisheries Educator) begins the high school internships for the summer at the Kalskag Fish Wheels. He will then move on to the George River weir for two weeks and then the Tatlawiksuk River Weir for three weeks.
6/15/2011  The George River Weir and Tatlawiksuk River Weir are installed and operational.
6/8/2011  The fish wheels at Kalskag are up and operational. They will be tagging sockeye salmon for mark/recapture.
6/1/2011 Alaska Department of Fish and Game and KNA fisheries staff begin training for the 2011 field season.
5/31/2011  College interns begin their summer work with the KNA fisheries staff. 
5/22/2011  LaDonn Robbins, the new Fisheries Biologist, arrives and starts work in Aniak.  
5/18/2011  Scott Fritz, the new Partners Fisheries Educator, arrives and starts work in Aniak.

3/28/2011 We are currently hiring a full-time Fisheries Biologist. Closing date April 10, 2011.
3/17/2011 The High School Internship Application for 1st and 2nd year interns is now available.
2/14/2011 KNA Fisheries will be holding a community meeting at the Aniak Community Hall at 5:30pm on Thursday, February 17th.

2/2/2011 KNA Fisheries applied for 2 OSM grants; one would extend the Partners Biologist position, and the other would fund a Bering cisco spawning study on the South Fork of the Kuskokwim River.
2/2/2011 KNA Fisheries came close, but was not awarded the AKSSF grant, which would have extended our education programs.

Mike Thalhauser (Fisheries Director) and Carrie Hackett (Fisheries Educator) were recipients of the 2010 Baleen Award in recognition of their involvement with ANSEP students.
11/29/2010   Carrie (Fisheries Educator) is teaching in Kalskag for two weeks, as part of the Fisheries Science in the Schools Program.
